Students will learn to use the most current computer-aided design (CAD) and 3D modeling software and equipment to learn fundamental drafting, geometric constructions, ANSI standards, and residential design and site work
Students learn to operate all types of heavy equipment including backhoes, front-end loaders, bulldozers, and dump trucks. Curriculum also covers safety, preventative maintenance, surveying, basic earthwork and road construction.
Students learn numerous aspects of home construction by actually building a house in Prosser’s own sub-division! Students complete hands-on and classroom instruction in estimating, layout, footing/foundation, platform construction, framing, roofing, siding, window/door installation, stair building, and interior finish.
Students learn all aspects of basic residential, commercial and industrial electricity. Training in the use of programmable logic controllers, mechatronics, robotics, and electric motor controls are included in this course.
Students learn the skills necessary for installation, trouble-shooting and maintenance procedures for heating and air-conditioning units, and refrigeration equipment.
